Confession or the Sacrament of Reconciliation
The Sacrament of Reconciliation is one of the most beautiful sacraments of the Catholic faith.  Through confession our sins are wiped away and we are again as pure as at our baptism.  The deepest sin is forgiven by our most merciful Father if we go to him in sacramental confession, are truly repentant for our sins, and perform the penance we are given by the priest.

The normal confession schedule is:
Wednesday at 6:00 pm
Saturday 8:00 am and 3:00 pm
First Friday 8:00 am and 6:30 pm

Additional times are scheduled during Advent and Lent or an appointment can be made by contacting the parish office via email
[email protected] or 734 379 9248.

Prior to confession it is helpful if you prepare by doing an examination of conscience.  A guide to help you can be found at the link below.

Examination of Conscience

Children's Examination of Conscience and primer for confession

Remember the sinner who is sorry for his sins, is closer to God than the just man who boasts of his good works.
   St. Padre Pio

Confession heals, confession justifies, confession grants pardon of sin, all hope consists in confession; in confession there is a chance for mercy.
   St. Isidore of Seville

Sinners are led back to God by holy meekness better than by cruel scolding.
   St. Francis of Assisi

Go to your confessor; open your heart to him; display to him all the recesses of your soul; take the advice that he will give you with the utmost humility and simplicity. For God, Who has an infinite love for obedience, frequently renders profitable the counsels we take from others, but especially from those who are the guides of our souls.
   St. Francis de Sales
