Eucharistic Adoration

This is a personal invitation to you from Jesus.
“Jesus waits for us in this sacrament of Love.” “The church and the world have a great need of Eucharistic Adoration.” (Pope John Paul II, Dominicae Canae)
Every Thursday from 9:30 AM until 6:45 PM and when the 1st Friday & 1st Saturday of the month are consecutive, our parish offers Eucharistic Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. Our parishioners unite their efforts to take turns spending time before the Most Blessed Sacrament., holy hours of adoration.
In these “holy hours of adoration” our parish makes a public witness because, as Catholics, we believe that Christ is truly and substantially present in the Eucharist. The Blessed Sacrament is given the same adoration and devotion that is accorded to Christ. As adorers, we watch & wait in silence, opening ourselves to the graces that flow from the presence of Jesus Christ truly present in the Eucharist. It is God & man reaching out to each other at the same time!
During our parish wide adoration, come & spend some time with our Lord in a manner that feels comfortable to you. Bring your own prayer book, read the bible, pray the rosary, quietly listen to spiritual music with headphones on (volume must be very low so not to disturb others), or just sit, relax and enjoy the peace that comes from being in the presence of God. Cast all the joys and sorrows of your life at the feet of His Eucharistic Throne. This is your own personal time to spend with God.
Do not get discouraged if you do not “feel” the effects. It will and does happen. Just as you cannot be exposed to the sun without receiving its rays, neither can you come to Jesus exposed in the Blessed Sacrament without receiving the “Divine Rays” of His grace, His love, and His peace.
